This week, Uber announced they’re teaming up with health care organizations to provide transportation for patients going to and from medical appointments, we wonder if we can pick better friends based on data, and Amazon made another acquisition going further into home surveillance.
According to NPR, Amazon and home-surveillance company, Ring, found each other in Alexa Fund. The Amazon Alexa Fund funnels money into companies that come up with ways to integrate voice technology into products.
This isn’t the first time Amazon has ventured into the realm of home security. Amazon also acquired Blink. In November, they released a new home camera called Cloud Cam and an app named Amazon Key that lets Amazon Prime members grant others to enter their home without a key.
